Virtual servers
Add-ons
Attach extra memory, cores, storage, backups, databases or ports to a service you already run, and take them off again when you no longer need them.

Add-ons give a service more of something without moving it to a different plan. They are billed monthly alongside the service.
Open your service and click Add-ons. Only the person who owns the service sees this tab.
How it works
The page has three sections: On this service, Available, and Previously, for things you have had and removed.
To add something, find it under Available and click Add to this service. Where an add-on can have a quantity, use the − and + buttons to set how many first.
To take something off, click Remove on the row and confirm. The resource comes off the service and stops being billed from your next invoice.
What is on offer
What you see depends on the kind of service. These are the ones that exist.

Memory, cores and storage apply to virtual servers and to game and app servers. Backup slots, databases and ports apply to game and app servers. Snapshot slots apply to virtual servers. Terabytes apply to storage plans.
Things worth knowing before you buy
Memory and cores need a restart. The row is marked Restart needed. On a virtual server the new allocation is staged and takes effect on the next power cycle, which you can trigger from Overview with Apply now with a restart.
Storage cannot be undone. The row is marked Cannot be undone. Space can be added to a disk but never taken back, so removing the add-on stops the charge without shrinking the volume. Only buy the amount you actually need.
Additional IPv4 addresses are not instant. The panel will tell you that an administrator assigns addresses from the pool. Email [email protected] or use the add-ons page to start it, and the address is added the same day.
Ask us about the snapshot slot. The limit of eight snapshots on a virtual server is not raised by that add-on today. Email us before buying it.
A suspended service cannot have anything added to it. Settle the outstanding invoice first.
How add-ons are billed
An add-on is charged monthly for as long as it is attached, and it appears as its own line on your invoice. Removing one stops the charge from the next invoice onwards. There is no refund for the part of the month already paid for.
