Expiry, suspension and deletion

An unpaid service is suspended at expiry and deleted 48 hours later. Exactly what happens at each stage, and how to get it back in time.

Last reviewed 2026-10-04

This page is the one to read carefully, because at the end of it your data is gone and we cannot bring it back.

The clock

WhenWhat happens
The expiry dateThe renewal invoice is due.
Shortly after, if unpaidThe service is suspended. It goes offline. Everything is still there.
24 hours laterA final notice on Discord.
48 hours after suspensionThe service and its data are deleted.

That is two days from suspension, not two days from the expiry date.

Suspended

A suspended service is switched off, but nothing has been destroyed. Pay the invoice and it comes straight back, with everything on it.

A banner appears on every tab of the service, the card in Services goes amber and the status reads Suspended.

What is blocked:

  • The power buttons. You cannot start, stop or reboot.
  • Reinstalling.
  • Resizing.
  • Adding or removing add-ons.
  • The console.
  • On a game server, every control goes read only, including the command box.
  • Managing databases.

What still works:

  • Looking at everything. Every page, the specifications, the network details, the billing page.
  • Viewing and paying invoices.
  • Adding account credit.
  • Renaming the service in your own list.
  • Your profile, your activity log and your API keys.

You will also notice it outside the panel. Suspension takes away the product role on our Discord server, and the Customer role too if you have nothing else running.

Getting it back

Pay the invoice. Go to Invoices in the client area, find the one that is overdue and pay it. See Invoices and paying.

Once the payment clears the service is restored automatically. You get a Discord message confirming it. You do not have to ask us.

If you have account credit on your balance it is applied to the invoice before any card is charged, so topping up is a way to settle it too. See Account credit.

Deleted

48 hours after suspension, the service and everything on it are deleted.

That means:

  • Every file, database, world, configuration and certificate on the server.
  • Every snapshot and every backup held on our side.
  • The IP address, which goes back into our pool and will be given to someone else.

This cannot be undone and we cannot recover it. There is no copy kept anywhere. The orders attached to the service are closed and the subscription is cancelled.

The status becomes Terminated and the service disappears from the sidebar.

Not getting caught out

Keep a card on file. With one there, a renewal is charged automatically and you never see this process.

Keep account credit topped up if you would rather not leave a card. Credit is used before any card is charged.

Watch for the Discord messages. You get one seven days before the term ends, another inside three days if it is still unpaid, one at suspension and a final one 24 hours later. Make sure you are in our Discord server and that you accept direct messages from our bot.

Keep your own copy of anything that matters. Snapshots and backups on our side go with the service. For a game server, download a backup now and then. For a virtual server, copy what you need off the machine.

If you want a service gone

There is no delete button, on purpose. Email [email protected] with the service name.

Or stop it renewing and let it run out. See Renewals. Either way, take your data off it before the term ends.
