Getting started

Signing in

Discord is the only way in. There is no password to create. What we ask Discord for, what happens on your first sign in, and how to fix problems.

You sign in with Discord. There is no password to create here and no separate account to remember.

  1. Go to the sign in page.
  2. Click Continue with Discord.
  3. Discord asks you to authorise RyzenHosting. Click to approve.
  4. You land in the client area.

That is the whole thing. If you are already signed in to Discord in that browser, it takes one click.

What we ask Discord for

We request your identity, your email address and your membership of our Discord server. Nothing else.

In practice that means we see your Discord name, your user id, your avatar, your email address and which roles you hold on our server. We cannot read your messages, we cannot post as you, and we never see your Discord password.

Your email address is used for your invoices and receipts, which Stripe sends.

Your first sign in

An account is created for you automatically the first time. There is nothing to fill in.

You are also added to our Discord server if you are not already a member. That is where billing notices go, and where you reach us quickest.

Signing in again

Your session lasts 30 days. After that, or if you sign out, you authorise once more.

Each time you sign in we refresh your name, avatar and roles from Discord. So if a role was granted to you a moment ago, sign out and back in to pick it up.

Problems

"That Discord account is already linked to another profile." You have two Discord accounts and one of them is already set up here. Sign out of Discord, sign in with the right account, then try again.

You approved it but came back to the sign in page. Usually a cookie problem. Check that your browser is not blocking cookies for this site, turn off any extension that blocks them, and try again. A private window is a quick test.

You are asked to authorise every time. Your browser is clearing cookies when you close it. That is a browser setting, not something we can change from here.

You want to use a different Discord account. Sign out of the client area, sign out of Discord, then sign in with the account you want. Services belong to the account that bought them, so moving a service between accounts is something we have to do for you. Email [email protected].

Why Discord only

One identity means there is no password here for anyone to steal, no password reset flow to abuse, and nothing for us to store badly. It also means your support conversation and your billing notices land in the same place.

Nothing is stopping you from locking down that account, and you should. Turn on two factor authentication in Discord. It is the only credential that reaches your servers through this panel.
